25 Healthy Habits to Create For A Life Time Part 1 (VIDEO)

#1 Cook at home

When you cook meals at home you are aware of the ingredients you put in your body. When you cook at home you can ensure that you’re eating fresh, healthier and balanced meals. People who cook at home consume less unhealthy foods compared to those who cook less.

#2 Weigh yourself at least once a week

Prevent your weight from creeping up on you by weighing yourself weekly. Weigh yourself weekly on the same day preferably in the morning in your underwear, for consistency.

#3 Eat more vegetables

A diet rich in vegetables can reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke, lower blood pressure, and have a positive impact on blood sugar levels. More veggies can help keep appetite in check and maintain a healthy weight.

#4 Stock your pantry and refrigerator with good foods

If you keep healthy foods in your kitchen, you will make healthier choices. Stock up on fresh vegetables, fruit, pre-cut veggies, seeds, nuts, beef jerky, nut butters, canned salmon and healthy fats. (see below)

#5 Eat more healthy fats

Fat has been demonized for years and people started eating more carbs, sugar and processed foods. As the result we have become a fatter and sicker country.

There are recent studies that fat, including saturated fat, aren’t as bad it we thought it was. Dietary fats are essential to cell growth, hormone production, energy, protect your organs and keep your body warm. Fats also help you absorb vitamins A, D, E and K, the fat-soluble vitamins. So add healthier fats like avocado, coconut oil, coconut butter, olive oil, avocado oil, and chia seeds to your daily diet.
